Energy storage facility Győr II

Under the call for proposals RRF-6.5.1-23 “Installation of Grid Energy Storage Facilities with Energy Market Participants”, three ALTEO Group companies were awarded grants for the installation of lithium-ion electricity storage facilities. The project, which won HUF 9.4 billion in grants, is the largest greenfield investment in ALTEO’s history to date, with energy storage being units built at three sites: Győr has a storage unit with a nominal capacity of 10 MW/20 MWh and a unit with a nominal capacity of 49.9 MW/99.8 MWh, as well as an another storage unit with a nominal capacity of 10 MW/20 MWh connecting to the station in the settlement of Bana.
All three storage units implemented in the framework of the project connect to the ALTEO Virtual Power Plant during the maintenance period, enabling the energy storage facility to effectively participate in the operation of the domestic electricity market and promote climate-friendly solutions. All three energy storage units will be operational from Q2 2026.
